Intramural Research Communications & Resources
The OIR helps to coordinate and communicate about NIH-wide activities. These include various NIH lecture events and scientific gatherings, such as the Wednesday Afternoon Lecture Series (WALS) and the annual NIH Research Festival, as well as NIH-wide programs, such as the Scientific Interest Groups. The OIR publishes The NIH Catalyst, which serves as the official publication for and about the NIH intramural research community. The OIR also oversees content for the award-winning Intramural Research Program (IRP) website at irp.nih.gov.
