Dr. Bonny Harbinger was appointed the OIR Senior Advisor for Innovation in 2019.
Since joining the federal government in 2004 she has served in a variety of positions, including Special Advisor to the Director and Deputy Director NIH Office of Extramural Research, Special Advisor to the HHS Chief Technology Officer, and Deputy Director NIH Office of Technology Transfer.
Prior to her government career, Bonny practiced law at a DC firm that specialized in False Claims Act litigation and had a private practice in clinical psychology in San Diego. She also served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Bonny received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and B.A. in Social Work from Tel Aviv University, Israel.
