Statistics Interest Group
This group provides a forum for multiple formal and informal meetings, seminars and networking events to be organized and implemented as well as to share information that will be of interest to statisticians and others non-statisticians interesting in broadening their professional knowledge of statistics throughout the NIH.
These seminars, meetings and networking events will include speakers from the NIH as well as sister HHS Agencies as well as external invited speakers throughout the year. We also will try to keep members aware of other institute and center seminars, workshops and discussions that may be open to all and of interest to statisticians.
In addition, this Statistics SIG will share information regarding other opportunities related to statistics, data analysis, survey methodology and other topics relevant to statisticians within the NIH.
Finally, as this SIG grows and expands it is anticipated that an informal mentoring program will be created to share statistical idea’s and opportunities for shared research ventures within and outside of the 27 NIH ICs.
