Environmental Justice and Health Interest Group
Environmental Justice and Health Interest Group (EJHIG): The mission of our group is to serve as a platform to learn about various environmental justice issues and efforts in research and community outreach. This group aims to promote and support trans-NIH collaboration in environmental health equity research, advance methods in environmental justice (EJ) research, and incorporate EJ frameworks into transdisciplinary research. The EJHIG also seeks to bring together EJ investigators from both intramural and extramural communities. Our group members include trainees and early career investigators from multiple NIH centers and institutes, including NCI, NIEHS, NIAID, NIDDK, NINDS, and NIH OD. EJHIG Events are open to all NIH community members and beyond. The EJHIG is co-organized by Dr. Jennifer Ish (NIEHS), Dr. Jongeun Rhee (NCI), and Dr. Maya Spaur (NCI), with Dr. Chandra Jackson (NIEHS) serving as the advisor.
