Dr. Roberta Diaz Brinton is Director of the Center for Innovation in Brain Science at the University of Arizona Health Sciences and a leading neuroscientist in Alzheimer’s disease, the aging female brain, and regenerative therapeutics. Her NIH-funded research has advanced understanding of brain aging and the development of innovative strategies to prevent and treat neurodegenerative disease. Previously, she held faculty and leadership positions at the University of Southern California. Dr. Brinton has published extensively, serves on national scientific advisory boards, and received the Presidential Citizens Medal for advancing STEM opportunities and scientific education. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
