Carolyn Bertozzi is the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Chemical & Systems Biology and Radiology (by courtesy) at Stanford University, the Baker Family Director at Sarafan ChEM-H, and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Harvard University in 1988 and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 1993. After completing postdoctoral work at UCSF in the field of cellular immunology, she joined the UC Berkeley faculty in 1996.
Kafui Dzirasa, Ph.D. Duke University, School of Medicine
Kafui Dzirasa is an American psychiatrist and Associate Professor at Duke University. He looks to understand the relationship between neural circuit malfunction and mental illness. He was a 2019 AAAS Leshner Fellow and was elected Fellow of the National Academy of Medicine in 2021.
In 1992, Purificación López-García defended her thesis in biology at the Autonomous University of Madrid . She carried out her postdoctoral research at the University of Paris-Sud , the Pierre and Marie Curie University and the Miguel Hernández University . She joined the CNRS in 2002. She has been a research director at the CNRS since 2007 in the ecology, systematics and evolution unit. She is interested in the diversity of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms in various ecosystems and their evolution since the origin of life on Earth .
